Can being wrapped up like an Egyptian mummy help you lose inches?

My Universal Contour Wrap experience started with the pleasant and enthusiastic therapist clearly explaining the process before marking me all over with a pen, so as to take my measurements and help me see the results once the treatment was over.

I was then wrapped up, Egyptian mummy-style, from the neck down in elasticated cotton bandages soaked in a clay solution. This took at least 20 minutes, as the therapist laid the bandages into to an intricate, tight, but not uncomfortable, pattern.

And then from Ancient times we moved into sci-fi as I had to get into what can be best described as an astronaut suit, all metallic and shiny. Suit on, I waddled into the relaxation room where I spent the next hour with nothing to do other than fall asleep, as I couldn't use my hands.

After unwrapping, the therapist took my measurements again and assured me the overall loss was 7.6ins, particularly around my knees. I was advised to rest, drink loads of water and go to bed early to speed up the detoxing process.

As with most similar therapies you need a few sessions to really see long-lasting results, but when I woke up the next day I did notice my skin was smoother. The treatment may take a bit of time but it's certainly worth a try in the run up to a special occasion.
