01 Victoria Falls Bridge, Zimbabwe/Zambia
Free fall over Victoria Falls Bridge, plummeting 365ft towards the great crocodile-infested Zambezi River. And, in the no-man's land between the borders of Zambia and Zimbabwe, why not take time to appreciate what is one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. One jump, from £87 per person.

02 Verzasca Valley, Switzerland
Get yourself shaken and stirred at Contra Dam, made famous by the dramatic stunt in the 1995 James Bond movie, GoldenEye. The jump follows the slender curves and clean design of the 720ft high concrete wall. The dam actually holds back 231 million gallons of water, making it as powerful as it is beautiful. One jump, from £168 per person.

03 The Ledge, New Zealand
Queensland has become the quintessential 'bungy'-jumping destination. The Ledge, a small platform over 1,300ft above Queenstown, allows jumpers to freestyle. For the seasoned veteran, why not attempt a flying squirrel, backflip or the Matrix in a specially designed harness. One jump, from £125 per person.

04 Monteverde Extremo, Costa Rica
Suspend yourself above a wet and windy cloud forest from a rickety tram. Built specifically to conquer fear, Monteverde Extremo is Latin America's highest bungee jump. If you need to build up your courage, there are zip lines and giant swings to lead up to the exhilarating finale. One jump, from £39 per person.

05 Macau Tower, China
Mix sightseeing with thrill-seeking, Macau Tower is for true daredevils. Bide your time as you make your way up the 764ft platform, because it will only take four seconds to get down. Falling at 125mph, enjoy the best 360-degree view the city has to offer. One jump, from £232 per person.
