Built on the banks of the Vltava River, Prague has fascinated visitors for over a thousand years, thanks to its stunning architecture, historical landmarks and romantic atmosphere. The Czech capital is home to a diverse cultural scene, with an array of art galleries and museums, theatres and music venues, while its historic centre deservedly enjoys UNESCO World Heritage Site status.

A few minutes’ walk from busy Wenceslas Square and Baroque Old Town Square, The Grand Mark Prague is an elegant, five-star hotel. A renovation in 2008 transformed the 17th-century Neoclassical property into a stylish urban retreat that blends traditional aesthetics with modern amenities. The hotel includes 14 light-flooded rooms and suites, plus 61 airy apartments, each uniquely designed: a mix of polished floors, low-slung sofas piled with velvet cushions, bold wall art and spiral staircases. The average room exceeds 50sq metres, offering a spacious home-from-home for travellers.

Le Grill Restaurant specialises in modern Bohemian cuisine. After dinner, guests can retreat to the Two Steps Bar for a cocktail, or venture into the Lobby Lounge, with its glass ceiling, to enjoy a nightcap and gaze up at the stars.

The Grand Mark offers travellers a unique way to see Prague in style: on two wheels. The hotel’s own range of vintage-style bicycles are available for guests during their stay, along with helmets. What’s more, the concierge is on hand to provide the best routes for soaking up the best sights, and a delicious picnic basket can even be prepared to fuel-up hungry cyclists.

When travellers have had their fill of the City of a Hundred Spires, they can while away an afternoon in the hotel’s extensive gardens, arranged around a Baroque fountain. For sportier types, there’s a modern fitness room,
or spa fans can unwind with a massage or wellness treatment — in the comfort and privacy of their room.

Offering timeless charm and traditional Czech elegance, The Grand Mark Prague is currently the only member of The Leading Hotels of The World group in the Czech Republic.
