From the classic lines of an Aston Martin to the sporting colours of a vintage Ferrari, there are few places in the capital that offer such a fine array of motors as Hexagon.

For over 50 years, Hexagon has stood as one of London’s leading classic car dealers, its glittering range of models including marques like Bentley, Lotus, Rolls-Royce and Porsche. From its two sites, in South Kensington and East Finchley, fast-paced, adrenalin-fuelled childhood dreams come to life, with customers from London and beyond coming to turn fantasy into automotive reality.

From a modest location in a north London mews, Hexagon quickly transformed into a go-to destination for serious car collectors and connoisseurs looking to invest in some of the best motors in the world.

Hexagon’s founder, Paul Michaels, has stepped it up a gear in February 2016, opening the Hexagon Modern Classics and Hexagon Lotus Showroom in East Finchley, a stone’s throw from its former site in Fortis Green, and just minutes from leafy Highgate and Hampstead.

Classic motors will, naturally, take centre stage here at 82-92 Great North Road, and it will remain the only Lotus dealer in London. But Paul also has grand plans for the site: alongside the cars will be a coffee bar, delicatessen, wine bar and two restaurants, set to appear in the showroom’s next phase of development.

Paul’s ambitious vision to turn the HQ into a local landmark is already in motion, with an adjoining gallery, Hexagon Classic Design. Showcasing eye-catching collections, contemporary masterpieces and regular installations, the gallery is curated by Paul’s wife, Racheline. The art won’t stop there, however, with plans afoot to redevelop the building’s exterior and make it an eye-catching addition to this part of London.

‘Low mileage and loved’ is the criteria for classics, says Paul, with Hexagon’s recently acquired 1965 Jaguar E-type fixed head coupé a prime example. With only 10,000 miles on the clock, it’s a motoring masterpiece that’s only got better with age.
