The Dylan is often described as a hidden gem in the heart of Amsterdam, nestled along the canal. The beautiful and historical facade hints at a uniquely rich history, while the interiors embrace guests with a warm and welcome feeling. With a secluded garden at its core, and many gastronomic concepts to indulge in, the hotel exudes sophistication.

The history of the site stretches back to 1613, when construction workers began excavating the city’s fifth canal, the Keizersgracht (Emperor’s Canal).

The Dylan Amsterdam is located in the heart of the city centre, just a stroll away from the city’s main attractions including Anne Frank House, the Flower Market, Van Gogh Museum, Rijksmuseum, Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam and the Canal Museum (Grachtenhuis). When walking through the hip and trendy shopping district — De Negen Straatjes, meaning ‘nine little streets’ — guests can discover a host of galleries, boutiques, bars and eateries all within minutes of the hotel.

The Dylan Amsterdam is a unique contemporary hotel with 40 rooms in four different styles. The hotel also includes Bar Brasserie OCCO; a Michelin-starred restaurant, Vinkeles; and a courtyard garden with a terrace. Vinkeles is a destination in itself — awarded a Michelin star in November 2009, it serves delicate French cuisine that blends classic with contemporary. The restaurant is set in a sunken dining room surrounded by original 18-thcentury ovens — it occupies the section of the building that was once a bakery — with views overlooking the garden. It offers an intimate and elegant setting, blending the old world of authentic Amsterdam with the new, refined style of today.

Bar Brasserie OCCO, a distinct cosmopolitan eatery, has menus that highlight handcrafted cocktails and creative cuisine drawn from local Dutch influences and producers. The bar and brasserie are a welcome gathering place for guests of the refined luxury boutique hotel, as well as for city locals.
