This month, people around the world witnessed an astounding full moon and sunrise usher in the spring equinox; the Mars lander InSight experienced a Martian eclipse; SpaceX made history with a successful commercial crew mission for NASA; and humankind's orbiting laboratory, the International Space Station, offered astounding glimpses of our planet from above. Closer to terra firma, giant telescopes in the Chilean desert gazed up into the cosmos—and even shot lasers into the skies above.
