Angelo Bernardino

Dr. Angelo Bernardino is a National Geographic Explorer interested in studying the biodiversity and ecology of coastal and deep-sea ecosystems. He is an Associate professor of Oceanography and coordinates a number of scientific projects aiming to understand human impacts on estuaries, mangroves and coastal tropical reefs. Angelo is currently working on quantifying land use and climate change impacts on mangrove forests in the Amazon region, northern Brazil.
