Named one of the 25 best hotels in Greece in 2017 at the TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice Awards and voted one of the best hotels in Greece by The Telegraph, Aqua Blu has 53 beautifully designed rooms and suites, a beachfront location and award-winning restaurant and spa, It’s the perfect base from which guests can truly enjoy the Greek island of Kos. Aqua Blu combines contemporary architecture, with a minimalist interior, ultra-modern facilities and breathtaking sea views.

The hotel was the dream of owner George Koutsos, a native Kosian who moved to New York but always kept strong ties to his birthplace. As a traveller himself, he wanted to create a place that would satisfy his discerning eye for design as well as his generosity of spirit, creating a hotel where guests could relax and forget the world.

This legacy can be felt throughout the hotel, from the open-air poolside eatery to the award-winning Cuvee Restaurant. It’s in every mouthful too — from artisan creations found on the menu, to smooth combinations of drinks prepared by expert mixologists.

Tamaris Spa is an atmospheric spa with a pool and relaxation area. It’s an escape from everyday life, somewhere guests can rediscover their senses.

Although located on one of Kos’s longest beaches, several of the ground-floor rooms have private pools. The upper-floor rooms, meanwhile, have floor-to-ceiling windows that offer spectacular sunset scenes. The rooms are minimal, bathed in earth tones of grey, stone, brown and beige, while oak floors add a natural feel and crisp white cotton bed linen is the finishing touch to these high design interiors.

Water is a strong theme throughout the hotel, from the cascading waters at the entrance to the meandering shallow streams that surround the main building. The spaces are both beautiful and unique, with guest after guest marvelling at the high level of design and service they receive. It’s a place to discover and revisit.

As a member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World, this exclusive hotel delivers on so many levels and goes even further to ensure guests are the most important aspect of the hotel.
