Karibu Africa Safaris

Karibu Africa Safaris introduces Africa in a special way, from the vast plains of the savannah to the highest point in Africa. Professional, experienced and dedicated to all its guests, Karibu Africa Safaris is the company to book with for a perfect safari.

The company was founded about 20 years ago, with operations running from its head office in Arusha, Tanzania, where a team of dedicated staff — both in the office and in the field — ensure guests have an unforgettable safari.

The company has the capacity to plan and execute group and individual safaris (both set and tailor-made to suit guests’ travel plans) any day of the year. All the safaris are run in the most sustainable way possible, with respect to the local people, their culture and the environment. Karibu Africa Safaris always encourages guests to leave nothing but a positive footprint.

In addition to the safari game drive experience, there’s also a range of activities to add to guests’ overall experience, including unique interactions with the local people (such as the Hadzabe Bushmen of Lake Eyasi); game drives in the parks accompanied by experienced guides; walking safaris with local guides; and night game drives. Guests can hike in unique places, such as Suswa, Loita, Usambara Mountains, Lushoto and the tropical rainforest of the Amani Nature Reserve, all while surrounded by unique flora and fauna, majestic landscapes and farms.

Mountain climbing in East Africa is one of the most popular activity options, with the famous Mount Kilimanjaro, the breathtaking Mount Kenya and the small but equally challenging Mount Meru providing epic experiences for both amateur and experienced mountaineers.

The East African coast offers an array of pristine beaches, including Lamu, Malindi, Kilifi, Mombasa, Dar Es Salaam and the islands of Mafia, Pemba and Zanzibar. Combine this with colourful culture and tasty local cuisine, and guests really are spoilt for choice.

A 24-hour emergency phone number is available at all Karibu Africa Safaris destinations, ensuring guests can contact the company at all times.
