In the Kafue National Park, one of the world’s largest areas of unspoilt wilderness, Mukambi Safaris operates three unique camps, Mukambi Safari Lodge, Busanga Plains Camp and Fig Tree Bush Camp.

Mukambi Safari Lodge is located centrally in Kafue National Park, on the banks of the majestic Kafue River and within easy reach of Lusaka’s urban attractions.

Activities include game drives in open-canopy vehicles, boat and fishing trips along with walking safaris where guests are likely to see elephant, lion, leopard, cheetah, puku, hippo and many other mammals. The park is also home to an incredible variety of birds.

Back at the lodge, guests can enjoy delicious food and comfortable accommodation to make their stay unforgettable.

Busanga Plains Camp, famed for its tree-climbing lions and endless parade of wildlife, is a seasonal luxury bush camp deep in the heart of the famous Busanga Plains, in the northern area of Kafue National Park. Busanga consists of extensive floodplains that fall dry after the rainy season, attracting large numbers of predators, plains game, elephant and stunning birdlife.

Busanga Plains Camp, with its simple rustic chic design, is a small and authentic bush camp with a dining area with open campfire and four new spacious luxury tents.

A trip to the Busanga Plains is reminiscent of the days when a safari took you on an exciting trip and every journey called for a sense of adventure and a desire to explore the unknown.

Mukambi Safaris’ newest addition, Fig Tree Bush Camp, overlooks overlooks a lagoon formed by the Shishamba River and is named after the giant fig tree next to the boma.

The camp features Luxury Safari tents on 10ft-high platforms, offering a spectacular view of the lagoon and the plains at the entrance of the camp. Along with the tented accommodation are a boma and a sandy beach with a hammock. Newly added to the camp is a raised infinity pool overlooking the plains and a waterhole where game often gathers.
