By Sea Cliff Resort & Spa

The luxurious Sea Cliff Resort & Spa is located on a cliff with mesmerising views of the Indian Ocean. Nestled on the northwestern coast of Zanzibar, 20 minutes from the ferry port and the historical Stone Town, the resort is the perfect destination for travellers looking to discover the many and varied attractions of the tropical island of Zanzibar.

The 120-room resort offers travellers a variety of luxury accommodation with plenty of amenities to ensure visitors have a memorable experience. There are 16 deluxe rooms with ocean views; 80 superior rooms, all of which overlook the ocean, and 24 inter-connecting rooms which open out to the hotel’s tropical gardens and are ideal for families.

The resort is the perfect place to find peace and tranquillity, and restore energy. The Mali Spa — which works in partnership with natural bath and body care product manufacturer Inaya Zanzibar— is dedicated to making guests feel rejuvenated and uses only the finest blend of locally sourced ingredients.

Sea Cliff Resort & Spa is also home to Zanzibar’s only golf course. The course highlights many of the island’s natural features, meandering through tropical bush and past indigenous trees, coastal dunes and a mangrove area. There’s also an international standard practice facility, including a driving range with an array of chipping, bunker and putting greens. The on-site resident golf pro offers lessons to both individuals and groups keen to improve their swing and get their handicap down.

Sea Cliff has a professionally managed stable yard with a qualified riding instructor and caters for riders of all levels. Guests can choose from a variety of routes, including a spectacular beach sunset ride or a beautiful scenic trail around and across the golf course to the beach.

Through the resort’s excursion desk, guests can book various trips on the island, such as a visit to Stone Town, an outing to Jozani Chwaka Bay National Park — home to the famous Zanzibar red colobus monkey — or a sailing experience on a traditional dhow to find dolphins.
