Wildtrack Safaris Eco Lodge is a private and exclusive piece of paradise that combines luxury, fantastic food and personalised service with the opportunity to experience the peaceful and dynamic culture of Botswana first-hand, living, tasting and viewing the rich and diverse environment of the country

Nestled in the heart of Africa, Wildtrack Safaris Eco Lodge is a private and exclusive retreat that offers more than just a bush safari. Uniquely situated in the centre of the newly formed Kavango-Zambezi Transfrontier Conservation Area (the largest of its kind in the world), this choice destination not only combines luxury with fantastic food and personalised service, but also offers guests the opportunity to experience the peaceful and dynamic cultures of Botswana first-hand.

Wildtrack Safaris Eco Lodge is centred on an eco-orientated ethos. Having proudly received the highest ecotourism rating from the Botswana Tourism Organisation (BTO), Wildtrack Safaris Eco Lodge incorporates this approach not only in the running of the venue but how guests experience this little piece of paradise. This ‘eco-ethos’ distinguishes the lodge as it offers, in addition to the safari experience, the opportunity to live, taste and view the rich and diverse environment of Botswana.

This is best illustrated in the authentic cultural tours within the village of Pandamatenga, where guests can interact with locals in their everyday environment. Wildtrack Safaris Eco Lodge also promotes sustainable development within the community through outreach and education initiatives as well as facilitating employment opportunities for community members. Its most recent development is agrotourism. It facilitates groups of people interested in the farming practices and techniques of Botswana’s farmers. Clients, with an interest, are given the opportunity to interact with and view the farming industry within Pandamatenga and then return to the lodge and enjoy the bush. This ‘eco-ethos’ drives the identity at Wildtrack Safaris and informs its aim of championing sustainable, ethical and ecotourism for Botswana as whole.

At Wildtrack Safaris Eco Lodge a true experience of Africa is combined with a little bit of luxury to ensure guests unwind, recharge and form valuable memories of their African bush experience. The lodge contains 11 thatched suites, which are individually styled and themed to reflect the rich and diverse tapestry that is Africa — with extra-length king-sized beds made up with crisp, white linen; and en suite bathrooms with natural stone baths opening out to private outdoor rain showers with panoramic views — allowing guests to become one with nature. Each suite has been designed around enhancing the bush, with large bay windows and undisrupted views from all suites. The aim is to provide each client with their own little piece of paradise. The only foot traffic outside the suite comes from the freely roaming elephants, antelope and the occasional lion.

The wonderful views are continued through the public-spaces of the lodge where you can take time to relax on the lush tree-filled lawns, or cool off in the sparkling swimming pool — while sipping on a sundowner as the sky sets, ablaze with colours. After a sumptuous, gourmet dinner, unwind at the boma overlooking a lit waterhole, or simply lie back — taking in the splendour of the heavens — as the exhilarating sounds of the African bush come alive.

Wildtrack Safaris Eco Lodge has a range of activities on offer, including morning and sunset drives, guided bush walks, and interactive tours within the community of Pandamatenga — allowing guests the opportunity not only to observe, but also contribute towards ongoing community-enrichment programmes. The Kavango-Zambezi Transfrontier Conservation Area offers a spectacular diversity of ecosystems that provide game drives rich with a plethora of fauna and flora as well as great photographic opportunities.

A speciality of the lodge is its cheese and wine offering. This activity includes a game drive through the ‘forest area’ then proceeding to the vast open natural planes where guests can enjoy a wine and cheese board with a backdrop of ilala palms, herds of elephants and giraffes, and the heartening roar of lions. Upon return, enhance your sensory experience of the bush, under the stars accompanied by the sounds of the ‘nightlife’ that Botswana has to offer. Upon arrival at the lodge, feast upon traditional foods and listen to local traditional singers.

The secluded location of Wildtrack Safaris Eco Lodge ensures a personalised one-on-one experience with the African bush. Being located just 60 miles from the hustle and bustle of Kasane town means easy access to the activities offered on the busy Chobe riverfront while providing guests with the luxury of exclusivity and undisturbed natural bush.

The owner and manager of Wildtrack Safaris Eco Lodge is committed to sharing the wonders of life, culture and environment within Botswana. A big part of this is ensuring the sustainability of the wildlife and environment for future generations to come. The ‘eco-ethos’ is one that needs to be spread throughout tourism in Botswana, and thus this lodge openly invites all conscious-hearted and adventurous individuals to come and experience the real African bush with a luxurious touch that will ensure a little bit of Africa is ingrained in guests’ hearts forever.
