The beauty, grace and brutality of the natural world are all captured in this extraordinary collection of award-winning images. Each photograph won its category at the prestigious Wildlife Photographer of the Year Competition, beating almost 50,000 entries from 92 countries.

The winners range from an engaging gorilla to a curious gull, and include a haunting image of a dead rhino, poached for its horn. These 15 award-winning images reveal the incredible diversity of life on Earth, from displays of rarely seen animal behaviour to secret underwater worlds.

The images will be all on show, alongside 99 other shortlisted photographs, at the Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition in the Natural History Museum in London until 28 May 2018.
