Pangolins, like this female with her baby, are prized in traditional Chinese medicine. Sometimes known as scaly anteaters, they are endangered.
These pangolin scales were seized in Hong Kong. Pangolin scales are dried and ground, then given to women for various problems, such as difficulty lactating.
