Photograph by Anne Mcclain, NASANASA’s InSight Mars lander captured its first full-body selfie on Mars on December 6, 2018. The image shows the lander’s solar panels and deck, which sports its science instruments, weather sensor booms, and UHF antenna. This space selfie is made up of 11 images taken by the lander’s Instrument Deployment Camera, located on the elbow of its robotic arm. The images were then stitched together into a mosaic.
Photograph by NASA, JPL Cal-techAstronaut Steve Robinson turns the camera on himself during a historic repair job on the underside of the space shuttle Discovery on August 3, 2008. The shuttle's heat shield, where Robinson removed a pair of gap fillers sticking out between the tiles, is reflected in his visor.

Photograph by Buzz Aldrin, NASANASA's Curiosity Mars rover took this selfie on May 12, 2019. The selfie is made up of 57 individual images taken by the rover's Mars Hand Lens Imager, a single camera on the end of the rover's robotic arm. The images are stitched together into a panorama, and the robotic arm was removed from the photo during post-processing.

Photograph by Mike Fossum, NASA, JscIn 2007, the Rosetta spacecraft passed just 155 miles from the surface of Mars on its way to rendezvous with a comet. While still attached to the spacecraft, the Philae lander took this image capturing one of Rosetta’s 26-foot-long solar wings, set against the northern hemisphere of Mars. This image was originally taken in black-and-white, and colour has been added to the surface of Mars.
