Eden Island

One of 15 islands in the Seychelles archipelago, Eden Island rises out of the Indian Ocean just off the east coast of Mahé, two miles from the largest island’s capital city, Victoria. Ringed by cotton-white sands and turquoise waters, Eden Island is home to a 100-acre stretch of prime residential land interweaved by 38 acres of private waterways. Throw in a 138-acre luxury marina dotted with superyachts, and the result: the perfect spot for an array of upmarket homes to buy or rent. Eden Island Luxury Accommodation offers these properties for long-term rentals or self-catering holiday breaks.

More than 50 luxury villas are available, as are spacious apartments and deluxe maisons. In addition, Eden Island has four beaches, swimming pools, a tennis court, a fully-equipped gym and a running trail along the coastline. Residents can meet in the clubhouse, and younger ones can enjoy the children’s play area.

Every home here has its own mooring. Must-try boat trips include Bird Island, home to the red fody and white-crowned sooty tern; Curieuse, the stomping ground of around 500 Aldabra giant tortoises; and Fregate, with the beautiful Anse Victorin beach. Back on Eden Island, guests can visit a choice of restaurants and bars, and unwind against a stunning mountain backdrop.

Eden Plaza shopping centre houses a mix of designer boutiques, supermarkets and restaurants. A spa is available for facials, massages and body treatments or for more pulse-quickening endeavours, residents can charter a boat or try an array of watersports. Each year, well-attended fishing tournaments attract big-game-fishermen and fly fishermen from around the world.

Every home on Eden Island is sold as a freehold property, giving owners the option to apply for Seychelles residency, plus the chance to place their home in the Eden Island Luxury Accommodation portfolio. With more than 500 homes sold to date, only a handful are still on the market. For anyone seeking a slice of island life, a memorable holiday or an investment opportunity, Eden Island ticks all the boxes.
