Exsus Travel

Exsus Travel is a leading luxury tour operator offering bespoke tailor-made holidays all over the world. It has extensive experience in Africa and can help clients — everyone from first-timers to experienced travellers — plan their perfect trip across the continent.

One of Exsus Travel’s favourite Africa destinations is Namibia, which is fast becoming  a tourist hotspot. It’s endlessly diverse, with everything from rich red deserts and rugged plains to unique wildlife such as black rhinos and oryxes. Namibia’s vast and beautiful landscapes are home to sights such as the massive Fish River Canyon, which bears many resemblances to the Grand Canyon. Exsus can get clients off the beaten track, where they’ll be rewarded with exhilarating adventures such as sleeping in the desert under the stars, watching the towering dunes of Sossusvlei glow at sunrise, and exploring by 4x4 or quad bike.

There’s also the centuries-old bush rock art at Damaraland and the contrasting lush wetlands and colourful birds of the Caprivi Strip, plus the ultimate road trip of driving across the endless Etosha salt pans. Watch baby elephants and their mothers congregate at the waterholes, meet the Himba people of Kaokoland and discover the shipwreck-strewn Skeleton Coast.

The ultimate place to stay on the enigmatic 310-mile-long Skeleton Coast is the recently-opened Shipwreck Lodge, perched on the beach by the Atlantic, and built to resemble the wrecks that are strewn across the sands. Offering rustic luxury and tranquillity, the 10 cabins have wood-burning stoves and solar power.

Guests can go on game drives with expert guides into Skeleton Coast National Park to see desert elephants, giraffes and lions, while colonies of Cape fur seals line the rocky shoreline. In the evening, the restaurant serves exceptional food, and guests can look out over the sea from the deck while sipping a sundowner.

This is just a taster of what Exsus Travel can do. Pioneering and passionate, its aim is for everyone to escape the obvious and experience the extraordinary.
