Hofbräuhaus
This Munich institution, dating all the way back to 1592, has three dining halls and a leafy beer garden. You'll find Bavarian-themed evenings with Schuhplattler dancers, alphorn and cowbell players and yodelers year-round.

Beer garden at Viktualienmarkt
The open-air Viktualienmarkt may be known for its 140 stalls selling fresh food, but I love the small beer garden right in the middle. It's a great place to sip a beer and people-watch.

The Munich Beer Tour
Hop on a bus for a tour of Munich Brewery. It's the ideal day out to learn about Munich's long history of brewing, chat to master brewers and — best of all — sample the booze.

Beer And Oktoberfest Museum
In a beautifully restored 14th-century townhouse, the museum has exhibitions about the city's beer history and the annual festival, along with tastings and a pub. bier-und-

The Chinese Tower at Englischer Garten
Right in the middle of the Englischer Garten park, this massive beer garden packs 7,000 seats beneath a picturesque wooden pagoda. From Wednesday-Sunday, catch live Bavarian music.
