Kinsterna Hotel, located in Monemvasia — the southernmost tip of continental Europe — is an award-winning hotel, leading the standard for excellence in the field of environmental responsibility and sustainability within the tourism industry.

The Kinsterna is a Byzantine mansion that’s been restored to its original glory with tremendous respect for its historical, cultural and architectural heritage — and which now forms a comprehensive settlement comprising the manor house and adjoining houses. At the same time, the owners have also set out to restore the estate’s rich natural environment, including the productivity of its agricultural land and gardens so that the mansion can once again be self-sustaining. The Kinsterna produces its own wine, extra-virgin olive oil and olives, tsipouro (a traditional Greek spirit), bread, marmalade, soap and much more.

The lovingly and superbly restored mansion offers unique rooms and suites, separate residences and two magnificent villas, and blends magically into the surrounding vineyards, timeless olive groves, imposing eucalyptuses and the lofty cypresses, within an estate of 18 acres.

Kinsterna Hotel offers several historic, cultural and sporting activities, specially designed for guests wishing to become better acquainted with the history of the mansion and the area.

Throughout the year, activities at Kinsterna include a tour of the mansion, hiking through the vineyards, adoption of an olive tree, a carriage ride, horseback riding, cycling, boat excursions, making soap, bread baking at the mansion’s old stone oven, wine tasting, cooking classes and weaving.

Guests can also participate in seasonal activities, such as the harvest, drying and pressing of grapes, distillation of the Greek spirit tsipouro, harvesting of olives and production of olive oil, and gathering honey from Kinsterna’s own beehives.

Kinsterna Hotel offers a new dimension in luxury. From culinary selections of Greek and Mediterranean cuisine, to the impressive river-like pool with private relaxation areas amid the fragrant orange trees, and the atmospheric Kinsterna Spa, with its signature treatments from therapists.
