By Hotel Therme Merano

Situated in the historic heart of Merano, Hotel Therme Merano is the ideal starting point for an exciting journey through the city’s artistic, cultural, culinary and wellness offerings.

This picturesque city, set in the spectacular countryside of South Tyrol, is renowned for its Mediterranean temperatures — even in winter — and for offering a blend of Mediterranean elegance and lightness with Alpine tradition and cultural diversity.

The city of Merano itself is currently undergoing a revamp — new cafes, restaurants, boutiques and sporting goods stores are popping up all over the city. Merano is all about strolling and shopping: the medieval portici arcades were built in the 13th century and have been attracting visitors to the city centre ever since. Visitors will find a tempting array of fashion boutiques, handicraft workshops, art galleries and culinary specialties, as well as many cafes and restaurants to while away the balmy afternoons.

The Hotel Therme Merano, with its modern atmosphere and design, is a unique example of innovative architecture in South Tyrol. The hotel is proud of its original design, with lively colours, carpets made from cow leather, lamps made of deer antlers and many other fascinating details for guests to discover. The rooms are spacious and comfortably furnished, so anyone staying here will feel right at home from the moment they arrive. The hotel features a total of 115 guests rooms and 24 suites, the restaurant Olivi, the Bistro La Piazza, the Sky Bar and the marvellous cocktail bar Palm Lounge.

In 2017, the spectacular wellness world Sky Spa, with its panoramic view of Merano, was opened. The highlight of the rooftop spa is a heated saltwater infinity pool and a trio of whirlpool baths. There’s also a spacious sauna zone with a Finnish sauna, biosauna, steam bath and relaxation room with an open fireplace.

But Hotel Therme Merano has two more spa areas to offer: The Garden Spa on the ground floor with its indoor pool, outdoor pool and a whirlpool bath. The Thermal baths of Merano are connected to the hotel via an underground tunnel.
