Overlooking the famous Promenade des Anglais and turquoise Bay of Angels, Le Negresco is an exceptional luxury art hotel in the heart of Nice, located between Cannes and Monaco. Le Negresco’s art collection is a mix of classical and contemporary, ranging from Louis XIII to modern art. Each of the 100 rooms and 25 suites has been filled with exceptional period furniture inspired by the most remarkable eras of French art. Whether contemporary, baroque or classic, most rooms have a spectacular sea view or overlook the city gardens.

Since it opened over a century ago, Le Negresco has hosted a glittering array of distinguished guests. Celebrities, actors, artists and heads of state have all passed through its doors.

Guests can truly indulge in the hotel’s gourmet cuisine by new resident chef and meilleure ouvrière de France (‘France’s best craftsperson’), Virginie Basselot. For exquisite, two-Michelin-starred fare, diners can reserve a table at Chantecler for a gastronomic voyage through the senses with the chef’s signature dishes. Elsewhere, simple classics such as beef carpaccio and local salade Niçoise are served in the newly renovated, carousel-inspired Brasserie La Rotonde, as well as on its terrace. For a truly sumptuous affair, the Le Bar de Negresco oozes sophistication with original wood panelling and offers a cosy, elegant space to enjoy an aperitif — especially during one of the live music sessions or DJ sets. In summer, the 37’Prom bar terrace is the place to be, with its dreamy sunsets over the Mediterranean Sea.

One of Nice’s premier addresses, Le Negresco is classified as a Historical National Monument for its facade and landmark glass dome; in 2014, it received the Ecolabel and was designated a Living Heritage Company in 2015. With its eight individually styled meeting areas — decorated with art from the time of Louis XIV through to Napoleon and the modern era — each is equipped with the latest technology and is flooded with light.

Whether it’s culture, concerts, shopping, day trips or food on the agenda, the hotel’s diligent Clé d’or Concierge service will cater to every whim.
