Big Lizard Invades Man’s Bathroom

Kimkhun Likitwattanaset had no idea how the water monitor got into his bathroom. The 81-year-old resident of Samut Songkhram, a province of Thailand near Bangkok, was meditating in his house. Hearing noises, he discovered the scaly house guest—and the mess it had caused.

Water monitors are good climbers, and it may have been resting after an unsuccessful attempt to exit through a window. Rescuers from the organisation Sawang Baynjatam arrived to handle the crisis. Upon capture, the monitor was driven into the wild to be released.
