How Does A Humpback Give Birth? These Explorers Plan to Solve the Mystery.
National Geographic grantee Chris Clifone spent this past winter season trying to capture a humpback whale birth. The behaviour has never been documented, but the team managed to capture a rare sighting of a placenta from a recent birth. While they weren't successful this year, they say they won't give up until they achieve their goal, even if it takes years.
