Lawless Island
Lawless Island, the series, is about people who have left behind normal society and chosen a different life in a remote Alaskan community. We're telling unique stories about the survival of the individuals and community. One cannot exist without the other. Our characters lead a largely subsistence lifestyle, but our stories are not just about subsistence. Our characters hunt, fish, trap, grow fruit and vegetables, and cut trees for warmth, but for each success they put a portion back into the community. Everyone gives and takes from Lawless Island. The stakes are high. The land is rugged and unforgiving. The seas are cold and stormy. Help is far away. Every story includes extreme danger, but with the risk comes a reward more profound than mere survival: a world of beauty and freedom with the security of community and without the constraints of bureaucracy. In Lawless Island there are no roads, no government, and no cops - that's why our characters live there. It's a world protected from the rest of society.
