Sneaky Turtles Sunbathe on a Hippo's Back
These are the sneaky terrapins of Kruger National Park, South Africa. Terrapins regulate their body temperatures with the help of the sun. In this instance, they’re using a hippo's back as a sunbathing platform.
The normally aggressive mammal doesn’t seem to mind. Hippos tend to sleep during the day and feed at night. The resting hippo makes for a perfect “tanning bed” for these opportunist terrapins.
