These African Buffalo Have Each Other's Backs

African buffalo help protect each other in their herd. Young calves are easier prey, while it may take an entire pride of lions to bring one adult down.

If a calf is in danger, bulls and cows circle back to defend it ... whether the victim is dead or alive. Together, they form a strong bond that intimidates even the largest of predators.
