A byword for luxury and adventure, Yellow Zebra Safaris specialises in African safaris. The team has over 100 years of combined travel experience across the continent, so travellers with YZ benefit from a level of knowledge to rival that of any African specialist worldwide. The company was named Europe’s Leading Safari Tour Operator in 2015 and 2016 at the World Travel Awards. All YZ team members have worked as safari guides or camp managers, or were born and raised in Africa.

So where does the name come from? In the 1950s, two German researchers, Michael and Bernhard Grzimek, were working in the heart of Tanzania’s Serengeti National Park. By painting zebra yellow, the team succeeded in being the first to record accurate numbers of zebra and wildebeest thundering through the Serengeti during the spectacular Great Migration. Their work resulted in the extension of the park boundary that protects the herds to this day.

It’s all about the experience with Yellow Zebra. Witness the Great Migration in Tanzania, one of the planet’s most amazing wildlife events, when vast herds migrate from the southern Serengeti to Kenya’s Maasai Mara in their search for fresh grass. Alternatively, discover Zambia, the connoisseur’s choice. Famous for its walking safari as well as quiet parks, authentic camps and exceptional guiding, Zambia is the hidden gem of the safari industry. Home to some of the purest safari camps in Africa, it’s developed into a great destination for first-timers as well as enthusiasts. And for wildlife, wine and city life, South Africa has it all. Cape Town, the Mother City, boasts an impressive selection of world-class hotels, restaurants and museums, creating a vibrant atmosphere. Safari is also a massive attraction. There are some excellent non-malarial reserves that are perfect for families and offer the most reliable leopard sightings in Africa.

What’s more, all this is just a taster of what Yellow Zebra can do.
