AQUA BLU Boutique Hotel and Spa.

With 53 beautifully designed rooms and suites, a beachfront location and award-winning restaurant and spa, Aqua Blu is the perfect place to enjoy the Greek island of Kos. It combines contemporary architecture, with a minimalist interior, ultra-modern facilities and breathtaking sea views.

The hotel was the dream of owner George Koutsos, a native of Kos who left for New York but always kept strong ties to his birthplace. As a traveller himself he wanted to create a place that would satisfy his discerning eye for design as well as creating a hotel guests could relax in.

This philosophy is carried throughout the hotel, from the open-air poolside cafe, to the award-winning Cuvee restaurant, it’s tangible in every mouthful of delicious food created by chef Michalis Marthas, and the smooth combination of drinks, made by expert mixologists. It’s a place to fall in love with and a little piece of luxury.

Although located on one of Kos’s longest beaches, several of the ground-floor rooms have private pools for those who don’t wish to move far. The upper-floor rooms have floor-to-ceiling windows that flood with the light of the Aegean and offer spectacular sunset scenes that the hotel is famous for. The rooms are minimal, bathed in earthy tones of grey, stone, brown and beige, while oak floors add a natural feel and crisp white cotton bed linen is the finishing touch.

Water is a strong theme throughout the hotel, from the cascading fountains at the entrance to the meandering shallow streams that surround the main building. The spaces are both beautiful and unique, with guest after guest marvelling at the high level of design and service they receive. It’s a place to discover and revisit, which guests often do.

Steeped in history, the island of Kos (famous as the birthplace of Hippocrates and medicine) offers a world of discovery, marvel and wonder. The island’s customs and traditions, its delicious cuisine and wines, its cycle paths and lush and abundant flora make for an intoxicating holiday experience.

As a member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World, this exclusive hotel delivers on so many levels and goes even further to ensure the guest is the most important aspect of the hotel.
