Meliá Serengeti Lodge

Meliá Serengeti Lodge sits in the heart of Tanzania’s Serengeti National Park, home to the greatest concentration of wildlife on the continent. An adventure here offers an incredible wildlife experience in the heart of one of the most beautiful national parks in Africa. The lodge blends into its natural surroundings without relinquishing the services and facilities of a luxury hotel.

The lodge is situated on the naturally terraced southern slope of Nyamuma Hills and has spectacular views down into the beautiful Mbalageti River Valley. This location also offers stunning sunset views over the mountains beyond. There’s an abundant population of resident game and the area is also on the Great Migration’s annual route.

The team at Meliá Serengeti Lodge never forgets guests come to experience the incomparable wilderness of the African savannah and the accompanying unique wildlife that makes this environment so unforgettable. The team’s priority is to ensure guests enjoy experiences that reveal an entirely new world and enable them to connect with Mother Nature in the cradle of humanity. Exploring the wilderness on one of the half- or full-day wildlife sanctuary tours, visitors will be guided by expert professional drivers who lead them down hidden paths to secret places to where lions, elephants, leopards, cheetahs and giraffes can be seen. There’s no better location in the entire Serengeti National Park to observe these wild animals as they live, hunt and survive.

The lodge — which is located around 45-50 minutes from the Seronera Airstrip in the Serengeti National Park — has 50 rooms, which include 24 Meliá Lagoon View rooms, 24 Meliá Savannah Panoramic rooms and two Serengeti Suites. All rooms and suites are decorated with the patterns and colours of the traditional Maasai on a muted background.

For guests staying at Meliá Serengeti Lodge, another highlight is the excellent food, which is an extraordinary fusion of international cuisine and local flavours.
