St. Andrews Bay is one of the largest King Penguin Colonies in the world. Finding a shot for individual penguins is incredibly challenging in a group of 150,000 pairs. These three were making their way away from the group as a caught them in front of this stunning mountain landscape. The size of these colonies show us how delicate the marine landscape is and how many lives are dependent on its careful balance.
Dear future generation, I hope we will still be able to see the Arctic wildlife as we do now. It is threatened as the environement is changing. I was able to witness many scenes of wildlife and I can guarantee you this is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. Here the polar bear might be interpreted as holding back the sea ice melting. Incredible and unique shot 6 metres above a polar bear in Nunavut, Baffin area during wildlife reportage in Nunavut and Greenland during summer 2017.
That day, the seals were curious and shy at the same time. They would come and check me out but stay a few metres away. One of them became a lot balder, came right up to my camera lense and had a good look at me for a couple of minutes.
These baby King Penguins, just weeks old, were huddled together for warmth on South Georgia Island in the Antarctic.
Blue wildebeest migrate across the Mara River.
This was shot on a boat ride to view flamingos wading in the saltwater flat in Celestun, Mexico.
"Mt. Sharidake is called Onne Nupuri in Ainu language. This is a helicopter shot of Mt.Sharidake. You will see Mt. Unabetsudake and the Shiretoko mountain range in the distance. It was an amazing time for me and it was the most impressive scenery I've seen in my life."
"Beautiful sunrise over turquoise waters of the Moraine Lake with red snow-covered peaks above it in Canadian Rockies, Banff National Park, Canada. I travel a lot around the world and couldn't think of seeing something that would strike my imagination. Moraine Lake is really an incredible picture. I couldn't even photograph the first half hour, I just sat there and enjoying this beauty. I want to come here again and I'm sure I'll never get bored. It truly is a sight to behold with your own eyes."
"Hiking in South Tyrol is a one of a kind experience. It was the first time I was walking so close to the edge of a mountain, almost surrounded by clouds. Nature's power in these situations reminds us that we're only guests on this planet."
"We woke early in the morning to visit the fjord and take photos of the dawn lights on the mountains and the reflections of the mountain on the clear water."
