Children Making Their Home in a Wild Place

A girl named Adair wore black rubber boots and sat on a rock outcrop beside a saltwater cove. Silky-headed seals popped up, studying her with black, glistening eyes before slipping back under. Wooden coloured pencils were set around her on the rock, blue, orange, and purple. With a sketchbook open in her lap, she flicked between the pencils. "I don't really have a good pink," she said. "This is just a crazy world."

South East Asia Through the Lens of Diana Weschke

Diana Weschke was kind enough to reach out and share her videos and travels with me, and I'm so glad she did. The German-born photographer and filmmaker has been travelling the world and creating short videos of her experiences. Diana, along with her friend Birk, is currently in Alaska, driving 6,000 miles in a 1989 Dodge Ram van. Together, they're filming their experiences...

Darrin Duford: Man vs fish

The burbles and pops of something frying grew louder, and so did the conflicting thoughts. Sitting across from my wife at an outdoor wooden table on Belize's sandy Ambergris Caye, I was considering the conspicuous appearance of the lionfish. You can't miss it: the fish's long, feathery fins complement its venomous dorsal spines that thrust out like a Mayan headdress. It seems more drawn than grown.
