Nestled deep in the Amazon cloud forest of Peru lies Lemuria. Located in the Manu Biosphere Reserve, one of the most biodiverse locations in the world, it was specifically created as a place for guests to rejuvenate amidst the lush rainforest.

Only accessible via private expeditions offered through Peru Eco Expeditions, visits to Lemuria allow guests to become completely immersed in the tranquillity of the Amazon.

The property is surrounded by both primary and secondary forest and the peaceful sounds of the jungle, and there are also two flowing rivers. En route to Lemuria, guests will enjoy an overland journey from Cusco that traverses the high Andes, pre-Inca archaeological sites and transitions through several microclimates.

Guests will have exclusive use of Lemuria’s grounds, which has a private two-bedroom bungalow with garden shower, an outdoor yoga and meditation area as well as a wildlife observation platform. Several jungle trails can be explored from Lemuria that lead to a picturesque waterfall and pristine rainforest. Woolly and capuchin monkeys, countless species of birds, tayras and the Andean (spectacled) bear are known to frequent this area.

Peru is also home to thousands of species of orchids, many of which can also be seen throughout this journey.

Surrounded by the steep tropical Andes and cascading waterfalls, Lemuria offers luxury adventure travellers a myriad of activities in which they can shape their ideal Amazon experience. Activities available include: mountain biking, river rafting, canopy climbing, nature walks, trekking, birding and wildlife observation.

All expeditions to Lemuria are undertaken with a privately chauffeured vehicle, professional guide and personal cook. Meals are prepared with a combination of international and local flavours, showcasing a variety of culinary fare.

Lemuria is owned by Daniel and Sara Bustamante who have great passion for the Amazon rainforest. Daniel has been a wellrespected guide in Manu National Park & Biosphere Reserve for nearly 20 years and is a local expert in this unique region.
