Stay at The Magnolia Hotel: The best way to experience Quinta do Lago is with a stay at the resort’s hidden gem boutique hotel. Offering affordable, stylish accommodation and direct access to the resort’s fantastic facilities, the hotel’s Palm Springs-inspired decor and vibrant poolside atmosphere is perfect for couples, groups of friends and families. Having opened only last year, this hotel is turning heads with its cool neon signs and quirky design. Guests can even use the hotel’s Dutch bicycles free of charge to explore the resort.

Play ‘padel’ at The Campus: Have a go at this unique racquet sport, which is similar to tennis and popular in Spain and Portugal, at The Campus, a newly constructed high-performance, multi-sports hub close to The Magnolia Hotel. There are only 30 padel courts in the whole of the UK, so The Campus offers visitors a great opportunity to try something different during a their holiday.

Choose between three world-class golf courses: Setting it apart from other resorts, Quinta do Lago has three world-renowned golf courses — there’s the North Course, South Course and Laranjal. Keen golfers can challenge themselves by sampling all three courses and deciding on a favourite.

Explore Ria Formosa Natural Park: Whether venturing out on foot or on a bike rented from The Campus, the fascinating Ria Formosa — a maze of canals, islands, marshes and barrier islands — provides visitors with the opportunity to observe exotic migrating birds, including flamingos.

Try masterful cocktails: Quinta’s Bovino Steakhouse has a mixology team on hand to create incredible holiday cocktails. A favourite with guests is the Pink Velvet — a creamy vodka and raspberry cocktail served in a glass coated in special raspberry dust. Meanwhile, at The Campus’ new sports bar, Dano’s, the team have created Dano’s beer — the coldest and best beer in Portugal and Spain. The team tried beers from all over the world and even went to Australia to learn how to maintain cool temperatures in hot weather through keg and tap design. The result is an exceptional Indian Pale Ale, exclusive to Dano’s Sports Bar and Restaurant.
