Great White Shark Bites Down on a Submarine Drone

Great white sharks can come out of nowhere. The camera the shark went for is a Trident submarine drone, deployed by Dominik Fretz at Isla de Guadalupe, Mexico.

The drone is a new tool used to study sharks in that area. It allows less invasive observations, though this video shows some encounters may still occur. For researchers, it’s also safer as they don’t need to be as close to the sharks.
